Slice the cube along X, Y or Z and you get an ordinary 9×9 Sudoku. Because every cell sits where three perpendicular slices meet, the number you write has to satisfy all three at once — so the whole cube has to agree.

Answers hide behind two-letter codes. Verify a single square without ever revealing the ones around it.
Every cell in the book carries a short two-letter code. To check one answer, read its code and look it up in the Answers index — you get that one digit, and nothing else. Because the index is sorted by code and not by position, neighbouring cells land pages apart. You can confirm a square you're unsure of without accidentally solving the rest.
